Maple Route ("we," "us," "our") operates as the exclusive Nigerian recruitment partner for a French language immersion programme delivered in Cotonou, Republic of Benin. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website or enrol in the programme, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

1. What we collect

Contact details you give us directly: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number.
Placement test responses and results, submitted during Stage 1 and Stage 2 assessment.
Enrolment and programme details, if you proceed: track selection, payment confirmation, and communication related to your programme.
Basic technical data your browser sends automatically when visiting the site (for example, general location or device type), used only for security and site performance, not tracking.

2. Why we collect it

To assess your French level and confirm your entry point into the programme.
To communicate with you about your assessment, enrolment, and programme logistics.
To process and remit programme fees to our Cotonou-based institute partner.
To meet basic legal and accounting obligations as a registered Nigerian business.

3. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary information with our Cotonou-based institute partner to enrol and support you once you've confirmed a track. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

4. Where your data goes

Because this programme spans Nigeria and Benin, your data may be processed in both countries. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure in either case.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to deliver the service you've requested, and afterward only as long as reasonably necessary for our records, or as required by law.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@themapleroute.com. We aim to handle these requests in line with the principles of Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPR).
