Maple Route

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These terms govern your use of the Maple Route website and your enrolment in the French immersion programme we facilitate as the exclusive Nigerian recruitment partner for a language institute based in Cotonou, Republic of Benin. By using this site or starting an assessment, you agree to the terms below.

1. What we do

Maple Route markets the programme, administers the two-stage placement assessment, collects programme payments, and remits the appropriate portion to our institute partner in Cotonou. The institute is responsible for all coaching, immersion delivery, and logistics once you're enrolled.

2. Eligibility

This programme is intended for adult learners. If you're not yet 18, please have a parent or guardian contact us directly before starting an assessment.

3. Assessment and fees

4. Payments

Payments are collected by Maple Route and the portion due to the institute is remitted on your behalf. We'll confirm receipt and give you a clear breakdown of what you've paid and what it covers.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds for the Tuition and Immersion Fee follow the institute's refund policy in effect at the time of your enrolment, which will be shared with you before you pay. The Agency Fee retained by Maple Route is non-refundable once your seat is confirmed, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

6. No guaranteed outcomes

Completing this programme does not guarantee a Canadian visa, work permit, or any immigration outcome. It prepares you for the TEF Canada or TCF Canada language exam, which can contribute to an Express Entry application. Final immigration decisions rest entirely with IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).

7. Your responsibilities

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for your own travel documentation if attending the immersion track in Cotonou, and for meeting the institute's code of conduct once enrolled.

8. Limitation of liability

Maple Route facilitates the connection between you and the institute; we are not liable for the institute's delivery of the programme itself, though we'll do what we reasonably can to help resolve issues that arise.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business develops. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

This is a working draft prepared for early-stage use, not a substitute for legal advice. Given the cross-border nature of this business (Nigeria, Benin, and prospective Canadian applicants) and the fact that real money changes hands, we'd recommend having a qualified lawyer review this, particularly the fees, refunds, and liability sections, before relying on it at scale.
